WhatsApp May Soon Allow Users to Edit Sent Messages

San Francisco: After announcing that some important new features were under development such as group polls and WhatsApp Premium, WhatsApp is now working on the possibility of being able edit text messages.

According to WABetaInfo Meta’s website operates now working on letting users modify messages in their text messages for a future update of the app. the feature currently under development so it is not yet available out to beta testers.

A photo shared by the website revealed how the platform for messaging is in the process of developing a new feature to let users correct any mistakes made after sending an email.

It is likely that there will not be an edit history that allows users to look back at the previous versions of messages that were edited however, since the technology currently under development, their plans may change before they release the feature, according to the report.

Additionally, the details of the window of time to allow users edit their messages aren’t available in the moment.

WhatsApp is currently working to bring it to WhatsApp beta versions for iOS, Android, and Desktop.

Recently, a report revealed that the company banned over 16.6 lakh bad accounts in India and Pakistan in April to ensure compliance with the latest IT Rules 2021.

This platform banned over 18 lakh such accounts across India in the month of March. The platform also received 844 grievance complaints in April from across the country. The account “actioned” were 123.
